This week mandmdirect.com challenged me to create a casual Spring/Summer outfit for under £50 and of course i said yes.

For those of you that follow me on Twitter you will be aware of the fact that i am a fan of the brand and occasionally like to talk 'fashion'... everyone loves a good chat about elbow pads and cardigans right?

I admit that since the kids have come along i don't spend as much i used to clothes and if like me you are in the same boat here is what you can buy this summer for under £50...

Cheap Summer Shoes 

You might remember that i wrote about the popularity of boat shoes a couple of post back. Well the mad wax Mens canvas boat shoes only cost £7.99!

With rubber soles, contract stitches the navy/white shoes look super stylish, they can be easily interrogated with smart or causal outfits and they are rather comfortable.

Summer Shorts

So we have had a couple of days of bright sunshine and we are likely to get some more as summer is on our door step. These cotton navy mens combat shorts cost just £14.99, they are button fastening and have a zip fly.

You have multiple pockets and belt loops, the pants are made by the brand Onfire, a young and stylish manufacture who creates assessable fashion.

The shorts are a good fit and the fabric feels breathable, durable and more importantly looks good!

Cheap Summer Jacket

One of the essentials for the colder summer nights is a light summer jacket. I picked up the Fluid Men's khaki jacket for £14.99. The long sleeve lightweight bomber jacket is made from 100% polyester, comes with a ribbed collar, cuffs and hem.

Out of the entire outfit i can see myself using the jacket more frequently than the other products. It is one of those jackets you can take on a night out and not have to worry about lunging around heavy jacket all night.


So what does it all look like? As you can see from the images below the outfit works well together and luckily for me i took the outfit out for a spin on one of the warmest days of the year.
