Menswear SS16 Essentials

So lads and dads, it is that time of the year again when i look at the what is trending in SS16 so you don't have to. I have crossed the world-wide-web to source some of my top picks from the brands you know and love.

So what are must have for us men/dads in our our late twenties/early thirties then?

Jeans

A good pair of jeans are the essential to any outfit, without a good pair of jeans you lose the foundations of an outfit. Distressed jeans are the must have thing for 2016, so pull out any jeans that are ripped (The bigger the better), over-dyed, sulphur washed or have patches.

I am personally not one for buying a pair of jeans that have a short-shelf life so i have found a couple of pairs of distressed jeans that look like they are hard-wearing.

Tops & T-Shirts

Some of the must have tops and shirts in stores at the moment are the 'Rugby or Polo shirts. A classic a simple style are popular again as they can be easy to intergrate with both causal and formal clothing, as well any generally suitable for both weather extremes.

Shoes

Brogues are a traditional staple in any man's collection and as fate will have it they are big this SS. Brogues with tan leather, wing-tips, punch hole and smooth soles are some of the favourite styles. i am personally not a huge fan of the punch hole brogues as i prefer simpler styles.

Sun-hats

No longer are sun hats mocked or frowned upon as they have now again come full circle, becoming one of the hottest accessories to have at the moment. It is now ok to be seen at the pub and a formal event in the same sun-hat. I have picked-out to neutral hats that i think see going with most smart and casual outfits.
