Lindam Easy Fit Safety Gate Review

It has finally happened, we have successfully moved into our new home after eight weeks of renovations. A big shout out to all the family and friends that helped out in some-way.

Child Safety Gate

The kind people over at Lindam and Munchkin had sent over a stair-gate to review as they had seen my renovation project on the blog. Now that we've moved in I have had the chance to put the stair-gate in the living-room.

They had the Easy Fit Plus Deluxe Child Safety Gate sent over as they knew I had just redecorated and the knew that I didn't want to mark the walls or secure any parts into the wood-work. It arrived in perfect time as my son has just taken his first steps this week so having a safety gate in the living will help me keep him from venturing around the house unsupervised.

The gate itself arrived well protected and with plenty of useful installation information to help aid the installation process. I know from experience that some of the lesser quality or older safety gates can be a nightmare to install and having one that i could install in minutes was important to me as i had another million and one tasks to do around the house this week.

The gate arrived ready to install, they provide all the tools and fittings so you do not have to dig-out your tool box from the back of the shed to have it installed. You receive four pressure points part that are attached to the gate that go onto your walls, these are the parts that protect your walls and mean that you do not have to do any drilling!

Installation was easy, i pulled the gate out of the box, placed the four metal screws and the pads in the four holes, placed the gate upto the required installation location and then started to tighten the bolts (with the pressure lock open) until i had each and everyone at the required length; making sure that i could comfortably open and close the press lock handle.

The product features include:

  1. Squeeze and lift handle for easy one handed adult opening
  2. Pressure Indicator assures gate is installed correctly
  3. One way opening for use on top and bottom of stairs
  4. Two way opening for use in doorways providing maximum flexibility
  5. Optional second lock at base of gate Strong steel construction
  6. Assembled and ready to install 5 minutes installation - all tools provided
  7. Adjusts to fit openings from 75cm to 82cm
  8. Can be extended up to 138cm with separately available extensions
  9. Lifetime guarantee
  10. Ideal for use in doorways, and top and bottom of stairs when used with the one way opening catch
  11. Safety barrier conforms to EN 1930:2011

I might not be the best person at explain the installation process, but Lindam are and have a fantastic video providing more detail around the products and the installation project:

It took me five minutes to have the gate installed after reading the instructions. I would recommended this stair-gate to anyone looking fora quality, fast cost effective child safety gate.
