A Story That Shines

Cinderella’s timeless tale is one of hope, resilience, and magic. In this rendition, audiences will once again follow the young heroine as she overcomes the antics of her wicked stepmother and scheming stepsisters to attend the royal ball. Thanks to her benevolent Fairy Godmother, played by Meg Elsegood, Cinderella’s fate takes a turn toward a happily ever after—complete with romance, hilarity, and memorable moments that will captivate audiences of all ages​.

Meet the Cast

This year’s pantomime proudly features some familiar faces alongside exciting new talent. Frankie Bounds makes his debut as Prince Charming, sure to capture hearts with charisma and flair. Natalie Winsor, known for her dynamic stage presence, will bring delightful villainy as Drusilla, one of Cinderella’s conniving stepsisters​. Fans of the Theatre Royal pantos will be thrilled to see Chris Hannon returning as Ponty and Sam Nixon as the ever-entertaining Buttons​

A Tradition of Excellence

Wakefield’s annual pantomimes are renowned for their mix of slapstick humor, local references, and interactive fun. Following the success of last year's Sleeping Beauty, which enchanted audiences with its vibrant storytelling and comedic charm, Cinderella promises to uphold this tradition while adding new twists and surprises​. Inclusive Performances

Accessibility is at the forefront of this production, with British Sign Language (BSL)-signed performances scheduled for 12 December. There will also be relaxed performances on 5 December, designed to ensure that everyone, including individuals who may benefit from a more informal setting, can experience the magic of panto​.
