Unleash Your Inner Child & Relive Fond Memories With These Tips #CP

Even if you don't want to admit it, there's a part of you that still has a fondness for your childhood toys and memories. There's something truly enchanting about going through your childhood toy box and trying to relive all of the wonderful times you spent playing with each and every one of your old toys. One of the drawbacks of reaching adulthood is that it is now considered "silly" to play with certain toys once someone has reached a certain age. You are in luck because there are still gadgets that you can buy (or dig out of the attic) that aren't looked down upon, which means that you can enjoy playing with your toys once more and let the man child that lives inside of you come out to play. Here are some options for releasing him and reliving the past the way you want.

Put them on display as collectibles.

Showcasing your toys as collectables is a wonderful way to be able to see them on a regular basis and maintain that wonderful feeling you get from playing with them. Even though you won't be able to "play" with them in the traditional sense, simply having them on show will cause a wave of pleasant memories to flood your mind whenever you walk into that room. Keep in mind that if you have any toys that you have previously collected, you should store them in their original packaging. This way, when the time comes for you to sell them, you can get more money for them than if you were to sell them in their unopened state.

The great thing about collectibles is that there really are no rules on what you can and can’t collect. So, if you still have some Action Figures from when you were a child that you’d like to display and possibly collect more of, then go for it! If you’re displaying them in a room that has high traffic or even children present, consider putting them in a lockable display case (especially if you’re collecting them for monetary value in the future).

LEGO

LEGO is the kind of toy that any member of the family, of any age, can take pleasure in playing with. It is such a classic toy that offers a wide variety of ways to play, and as you may already know, there is no such thing as having an excessive amount of LEGO bricks lying around the house. Take a look at this article published by LEGO, and while you're there, check out the different creator sets that are currently available. Imagine going back to your childhood, but doing so on an extremely advanced adult level, and building elaborate models and sculptures to put in your display cabinet.

You also have the option of purchasing some for your children so that they can engage in some extremely enjoyable play sessions. The fact that playing with Legos and involving your children in the activity is not an uncommon occurrence is one of the many advantages to this activity. If there are any models that you would like to keep, you should make sure that they are stored somewhere that children cannot reach them.

Pass them on to the next generation.

When we talk about children, one of the best ways to ensure that your old toys are put to good use is to hand them down to the next generation of your family. There's something really heartwarming about watching your kids enjoy the same toys that you did when you were their age, and it's also a great way to save money if you don't have the resources to keep shelling out cash for brand new toys.

You can participate in their play, much like you would with Legos, and show them how you have always used your imagination with the toys you had when you were their age. Show them the play scenes you used to design, and then observe them as they engage in imaginative play with the same kinds of toys that you used to adore so deeply.

Build a man cave

Lastly, if you want to let out the man child that's been bottled up inside of you, building a man cave that you can escape to whenever you need to is the best way to do it. There are a lot of women and partners who aren't interested in man toys and gadgets, but they still want their partners to have a man cave so that they can keep their stuff separate from the rest of the house. You might want to show off all of your vintage toys and electronics in a room that's dark and quiet, has colourful and bright LED lights, and has display cabinets. You could even set up all of the old consoles and play some of the very first video games you ever played on a computer if you so choose.

It doesn't matter how dated it seems in comparison to the toys and technology that they have now; playing in a special room with their Father is more special and most definitely more exciting than doing anything else. This is another thing that you could extend and welcome to your children. Therefore, you should think about making a "man cave" for yourself (and anyone else who will value the contents of it) where you can relax and reminisce about the good old days.

It's great to grow up and become an adult, until you realise you have responsibilities. Nevertheless, this does not mean that the man child that still lives within you must be repressed completely and permanently. Experiment with these activities for the child that lives inside of you and is aching to get out!
