How To Turn Your Regular Car, Into Your Dream car (Almost) #CP

While the dream of a sporty two-seater is high on the list for just about every gay, that does not apply to fathers. As our families grow, our dreams of sportscar stardom slowly die, and we have to start thinking about sensible cars instead of the ones we really want.

But, we’ve got at least a little bit of good news for you because with some imagination and a little elbow grease, while we can’t promise you a Ferrari, we can help you get a few sporty elements to make your current chariot feel like you belong in Monaco.

START WITH YOUR WHEELS

One of the easiest and frankly, coolest ways to instantly give your car a facelift, is to change your wheels. Now, this could get pricey, so plan in advance so that you know what you’re in for. Now, remember that you don’t want to be the guy that’s got £1000 wheels on a £1000 car, so while you’re living out your Schumacher dreams, be smart about it.

NEXT, LOOK UNDER THE BONNET

Most of us are pretty good at keeping the outside and insides of our cars clean, but not many of us remember to give the engine a thorough cleaning from time to time. Keeping your engine free from oil, dust and dirt doesn’t just look good, but it can also keep the bits under there working better, for longer. Now, you need to take care when washing or cleaning your car’s engine, so don’t go running for the bucket and soap without getting some advice first. There’s a useful video guide, here.

SORT OUT YOUR SEATS

Super cool seats and sports car modifications to your seats are other ways that you can get that racing car feel, without spending £100,000 for the privilege. (Or losing your wife).

There are tons of options on the market, so look around and have fun doing it, you can shop recaro bucket seats for a real sporty look and feel, and if you have the car for it, try out racing-Esque bucket seats as well.

HEADLIGHTS AND REAR LIGHTS

Another area where you can add some individuality and spice to your car is by updating your headlights and rear lights. There are so many cool options on the market for every taste and budget, so play around until you find the one that works for you, but - take care to do so within the limits of the law. Flashing lights belong on police cars and you can land yourself in hot water if yours attract the wrong sort of attention.

GIVE YOUR WINDOWS A TINT

Few things create a head-turning experience quite like a sexy, sleek car with dark, tinted windows. But, much like installing new lights, you also need to ensure that you’re tinting your windows in line with the law in the United Kingdom. There are various options around that won’t get you into any trouble, so have a shop around and find the colour that works for you.

We wouldn’t swap our kids for anything, so until you can afford that sporty second car - maybe play with the one you have.
