Aqua Perfecta Air Purifier Product Review | #AD

This week we were asked if we wanted to put an Air Purifier to the test and as the airflow in our home is currently poor, we jumped at the chance to review the Aqua Perfecta PerfetAir Sense Air Purifier to put it to the test.

We are currently in the process of adding new airbricks to our home to improve air flow and quality, as well as reducing damp we are seeing in two of our rooms, as a result of new windows being installed.

We were really curious to see how an air purifier would impact our health and poor airflow, so we have put down our experience of using the product in this post to provide your with an honest review.

What is an Air Purifier?

An air purifier or air cleaner is a device which removes contaminants from the air in a room to improve indoor air quality. These devices are beneficial to allergy sufferers and asthmatics

What are the benefits of using an Air Purifier?

I am not an expert as you can probably tell, however Accuweather are and they say that "Dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, and dust mite feces can act as allergens, triggering allergies. An air purifier can help remove these from the air, as well as reducing smells and odors in your home".

What was my experience of using the product?

We were using the purifier in our own bedroom at first and instantly we could feel and smell the cleanliness in the air once it had a chance to filter the air in the room. It was nice to become accustomed to having such a feeling every time we entered the room.

Three days into testing the product my seven year old tested positive for Covid-19 and as such we made the decision to move the purifier into his room, so the system can clean the air whilst he is in the room and sleeping. Which gave us a little bit more peace of mind that we were doing that little bit extra protection for the rest of the family.

Our 7yo and 6yo loved that fact that system changes colour based on the condition of the air and my only once criticism is that the system is that when you are adding water, the storage unit is rather large, which means that it can be difficult to fill in standard sinks, so we had to use the bath tap to fill it up. This isn't a big issue at all, but i expect others might find the same issues.

One thing that i did like and did take me by suprise was the fact that the filter don't need changing too often, as they suggest with average usage, they recommend changing the HEPA filters every six months. The AOP-KF filters in the PerfectAir Shield and PerfectAir Ultima should last 12 monthsoften.
