Fun Family Trips This Autumn #CP

Autumn is well underway and if you are looking for something fun to do with the kids, you are spoilt for choice. This is a great time of year for you to get out and about and engage in activities with the family. If you are stuck with things to do, we have put together a list of top fun things you can do this autumn…

Go pumpkin picking

We are now in the perfect weather for pumpkin picking and this is something that is fun for the whole family to do together. Do your research and find a local farm or somewhere that offers pumpkin picking. You can have competitions to see who can find the best or biggest one! Once you have found your pumpkins, a great autumn activity is to carve them out together ready for Halloween.

Create art and crafts from things you find outside

Crisp autumn weather provides a great time of year for you to make arts and crafts such as collages. Head out together and see what you can find that you can make into art. You could decorate jewellery boxes with things such as shells that you find on the beach, or you could do leaf printing with leaves that you find in the forest. There are so many different types of artwork that you can do, it is a fantastic activity guaranteed to keep you all busy for hours on end!

Go for a walk in the forest

Autumn can be one of the best times to head to the forest for a walk. The kids will really enjoy kicking their way through the leaves that have fallen off the trees, making them crunch as they walk. You could help them with climbing trees and playing eye-spy as you walk through the woods. It is a brilliant way for the little ones to let off some steam and enjoy playing together outside. Just be sure to wrap up warm! Why not go out for dinner or to a cafe after where you can all enjoy a meal or a hot drink to get you out of the cold.

Visit local museums

With the weather not being so warm or sunny, Autumn is also a great time to do things that are indoors such as museums. Why not all load into the car and head to your local city to see the different museums that you can visit? You could even head into London where you will find museums such as the Natural History Museum, the Victoria & Albert Museum and many more. Be sure that before heading off in your car, you check for your MOT Birmingham or wherever you are based and that it is in date. This will ensure you are as safe as possible for your journey - particularly if you are going on a  long drive!

These are just a few fun things that you can do as a family this autumn. Remember to take plenty of photos to look back on!
