Top 7 Things That Are Just As Good Used | #CP

It’s great to have new things, but if you’re strapped for cash, and you need something, second-hand can be just as good. Here are the top 7 things that are just as good used:

1. Cars

A used car is much more cost-effective, and it’s less harmful to the environment than buying a new one. Used vehicles are particularly useful if you know the kids or the dog are going to wreck a brand new one the second you get it. Why not check out the used cars available in places like Car Synergy? You’ll be amazed at what you can find, and at affordable prices too. A used car can last you a long time, and it won’t go out of fashion either.

2. Furniture

Don’t freak out — used furniture may sound scary, but you can source some really neat stuff in great condition. You may even be able to get something for free on Freecycle. Bare minimum, if you need an item to tide you over until you can afford your own, second-hand is ideal.

3. Bikes

Handy in a tight spot, a second-hand bike can solve a lot of problems. If your children’s’ bikes have been lost or stolen, getting them a used bike will help dry the tears while you save for new ones. You may even be able to find used bikes they don’t want to part with. Buying used bikes is also perfect when you need to outfit the whole family, and your budget just isn’t going to cover 4 or 5 brand new bikes.

4. Clothes

The best thing about used clothes is that you can find some really unique stuff you wouldn’t find anywhere else. It’s also really easy to wash used clothes yourself, so you know they’re clean.

5. Books and other media

Why buy new when there are charity shops all over the country selling thousands of them? You may enjoy buying books, reading them, and returning them to the same charity shop so they can sell them again. Lots of charity shops also have DVDs and even video games too. Plus, there’s a wealth of used media items on Amazon and eBay.

6. Devices

You may want to be extra careful to source reputable used computer and tablet sellers, but it can be well worth it. If you don’t need anything super flashy and you don’t want to spend a fortune, used is the way to go. Most used devices will have been professionally restored, so you’re not just getting someone’s cast-offs.

7. Video games consoles

Consoles are so expensive, and they get updated every few years, too, so buying a used one is useful. They can last just as long, and all they’ll need is a good clean before you can start gaming.

Whether it’s a used car or just a new pair of jeans, used items can be just as good as new, and it won’t break the bank. Treat yourself to one of these top seven things today.
