3 Christmas Cities: Food, Fun And Finance | #cp

Hey, feel free to leave a comment! It's that time of the year when you should be planning what you want to do for this Christmas. Some people start to book their vacations in September or October. But November is by no means late. December would be pushing your luck, but you have a whole month to decide on what kinds of cities you want to visit. If you have a family, you’ll want to go to a place where the kids can have fun but so can the grown-ups. In that respect, your options are somewhat limited. You want a city that has a seasonal flair but not just in one spot. You don’t want to have to walk through the sleazy part of town to get to the sunshine and roses part. There are so many choices, but some are head and shoulders above the rest. Narrowing it down, here are the top 3 cities for a family-friendly visit for this year’s Christmas.

London cuisine crawling

Christmas is an extremely important time for London. It's perhaps the best time of the year for tourists as every hotel, restaurant, cafe, Christmas markets, and street performer is going to be working extra hard to give you the best bang for the buck. Just like NYC, London has a few parks in the centre of its concrete jungle. The main one you should seek to visit is Hyde Park. During December it comes alive with its premier service of Winter Wonderland. You might have heard of it, and yes it's as good as you’ve been told. Sometimes you have to be skeptical but other times, you must believe the rumour. Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park is one of the staple attractions of the city.
Perhaps the best part of all the fun and attractions is the food. You have all kinds of cuisines on offer but the crème de la crème is the Bavarian Village. Here they serve roast pork joint, creamy potatoes, and thick gravy. On your way in you will have to resist the urge to have a flame-grilled bratwurst with sauerkraut and spicy ketchup. And yet on your way out, can you resist the mulled wine? You have classic pastries like pretzels, apple Danish, jam and cream scones as well as classic fish and chips. London has incredible lights during this time of year, but the LED decorations in Winter Wonderland can be seen from miles away.

Skating in NYC

New York is for many, the home of Christmas. Even residents from cities like Chicago, Seattle and Washington D.C. travel all the way to Times Square to witness the attractions. The Big Apple is known to have the biggest Christmas tree as its staple attraction. At the Rockefeller Centre, you’ll find a tree that stands almost 100-feet tall. The lights and decorations are a work of art in their own right. At the base of the building, you’ll find one large or possible two medium-sized ice skating rinks are open to the public.

The line is very long, but in the meantime, you can enjoy a cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles, and a marshmallow. The children will love that especially. Since there are many street food stalls around you may want to try some of the city’s classics. The chili dog is particularly popular this time of year as the spices warm you up quickly.

Some Christmas investing?

For some cities, business and trade never stop; even during Christmas. If you’re on the prowl for a great Christmas holiday but can never keep your mind off the future for your family, fly to Singapore this year. During this time of year, they have a resale HDB program in full effect. During the fourth and final quarter, you’ll get the most family-friendly prices on apartments and various other styles of property. The reason why this occurs is that when the Singapore hdb flats are being built, people buy them up very quickly. If it turns out the buyer doesn’t want them anymore, they resell them at a cheaper price. If you’re looking to invest in your family’s future, this is one of the best opportunities during Christmas. With literally thousands of apartments to choose from, take the whole family with you to explore your options.

During Christmas, there are lots of opportunities to try things you’ve never done before. Go to London to try various cuisines from all over Europe. Or perhaps go to NYC where you the whole family can skate opposite the biggest Christmas tree around. Go to Singapore to invest in your family’s future with knock-down prices for the newest apartments around.
