Easy Ways of Upgrading Your Home | #cp

Your home should be your safe haven and a place that you look forward to going to after a long day. In order for it to be like this, you’ve got to make an effort to make it a comfortable space you enjoy being in. This can be done by you adding your own personal touch to your house and maintaining it the best you can. Also, don’t be afraid to explore and try new looks to help bring your space alive. Here are a couple of easy ways that you can upgrade your home in case it’s due for a new look.

  1. Update Your Colour Palette

As new seasons come and go, it is the perfect time to update your palette. Think about what colours you want in your home and the ambiance you’re trying to create. You could decide to change up the colours in each room or only stick to a few, depending on your preference. If you want a new living room scheme, perhaps try darker paints and balance them with large areas of neutral. On the other hand, if you want to add more energy to your living room, then go for any shade of green, whether bottle green or gentle mint green.

  1. Change Your Bathroom Accessories

You likely visit your bathroom several times a day, so it’s an area in your home worth upgrading. Your budget and preferences will determine the types of upgrades you do, but there is plenty that can be done. You could decide to install a new towel rail, which is something that you can make yourself if you fancy a bit of DIY. A new mirror is also a good idea as it could help you add space and light to your bathroom space. If you decide to do a full-on renovation, perhaps replace your freestanding bathtub or shower to something more modern but be sure to calculate the costs first.

  1. Replace Your Windows

Your windows are something that can easily be overlooked but can make a significant difference in the home. If you have traditional sash windows, then why not have them repaired or replaced?

Do a Google search for sash windows London to find a company that specialises in this and can help you do it at an affordable price. Upgrading your windows can give your house a new sparkle as it’s one of the little details that makes a big difference.

  1. Paint Kitchen Cabinets

Your kitchen is another area of your home that should be upgraded. You can start with something as simple as painting the cabinets, especially if they’re fading or have become worn. The good thing about painting your kitchen cabinets is it’s something that you can do on your own. To avoid getting paint all over your countertops, be sure to protect them with layering or newspaper. The process consists of removing the hardware, labeling the doors, removing grease and then sanding all before painting.

5. Improve Curb Appeal

The outside of your home matters too and could certainly do with upgrading. Work on your curb appeal by getting rid of shrubs and mowing your lawn. You could also add some front door décor to make the outside of your home pop. If you’re into gardening, adding fresh flowers and greenery could help your kerb come alive too.
