I’ve put
together my list of the top 3 spots in Yorkshire you should look to head to
with your kids this summer.
Malham
One of
Yorkshire’s finest cycling spots. Malham has some stunning views and perfect
cycling paths. If you don’t feel too comfortable riding a bike, you can always
look at getting an adult tricycle as they have the
benefit of 3-wheels rather than two.
Malham is
home to Malham cove and it is walkable. Cycling though is far quicker and
you’re able to see far more of Malham’s stunning rolling hills.
Leeds –
Liverpool Canal
Cycling the
full route probably isn’t a realistic target but it’s still a great trip and
takes you some stunning scenery and picturesque towns.
There are
some tough parts of the route and barriers along the way but if you fancy a
challenging route with some great scenery then this is ideal for you. You need
to be careful as falling in is a genuine risk, so maybe not one to partake with
inexperienced cyclists!
Dalby
Forest
Dalby
Forest is located on the Southern Slopes of the National Park and is one of
North Yorkshire’s finest cycling spots.
There are
over 70km worth of cycling spots that snakes across 8000 acres of land. Whether
you’re looking for uphill or downhill spots, Dalby Forest has it all. There’s
forests and moorlands to tackle, with routes suitable for children, families
and anyone not experienced in cycling. There truly is something for everyone.
These are
may top 3 destinations to head to if you’re looking for a great family cycling
day out. If you have any suggestions, then feel free to mention them, I’d love
to hear from you!
