Spare clothes
Always keep a a spare trousers and a top in the boot of your car as someone is bound to fall in mud, vomit on themselves, experience extreme weather, split their trousers, rip a top, break their zip or spill food everywhere.
Blankets
Keep a couple of blankets in the back just in case you breakdown, get trapped in the snow and or are feeling cold if your heater breaks. These will also double up as seat protectors should you have to take any large objects in your car
Portable Toilet
If you have kids under five then i highly recommend keeping a portable loo or a potty in the back of the car, along with wipes and or toilet roll. You don't want to be caught short on any journey and ensuring you have the facilities will help you avoid any accidents on your car and child seats. Check-out the Khazi Portable Toilet, on sale for under £30:
Kids trays
One of the best gadgets i have ever purchased was the kids trays. They are light, flexible and cheap, enabling your little ones to draw, read and watch their ipads on a level surface. The best bit is that your little ones can remove them and add them when they wish throughout the journey.
Seat pockets
Keep your car clutter free with seat pockets, which can enable your little ones to story their toys, books, pens and mess all in one place and not on the floor!
Licence plates
Want to earn some extra cool parenting points with the kids Consider getting your own DVLA personalised license plate via such sites like Newreg.co.uk or run a quick search on Google. Funny puns, family names or a private plate can build up your prestige.

First Aid Kit
For those little emergencies when out and about or for something a little more serious, a first aid kit is a must have in the glove box. I would also recommend in buying some extra plasters :) You can buy an AA first aid kit from Amazon for under £7.00 here.
Air freshers
Keep your ride fresh from fun and invest in a good and long lasting air fresheners. Fast food and clutter can leave your car smelling unpleasant, so do yourself a favour and invest in a scent you love.
Let me know if you have other tips when out and and about, i would be happy to add them. Thanks for reading and safe driving.
