Unusual Reasons Why You Might Need a Legal Representative

It’s not every day that you need solicitors, but there are some unusual or unexpected reasons when hiring a solicitor as your legal representative is a good idea. This week i have teamed up with Lovell Chohan,a solicitors in Slough who can help people out of a jamLet’s explore a few of the reasons now.

Dog Bite(s)

A dog bite can happen because of an out-of-control animal or the owner not being aware of past issues that caused the dog to act out. Sometimes, a dog bite is a minor nip of the type most cats make. It serves as a warning and doesn’t actually break the skin, but in other cases, you might not be so lucky.

When a dog is intent on biting and not letting go, the damage to skin, bones, nerves, and possible risk to life become a real possibility. In cases where a dog was already considered a safety risk or where the owner actively encouraged the dog to attack you, then the police may get involved. In these and other situations, it’s possible to legally go after compensation for a violent dog-related attack. Any payment is often used to cover anti-anxiety counselling, hospital surgery, plastic surgery, or physiotherapy necessary to recover fully from the attack.

Odd Workplace Accidents

While there are some more common things like warehouse accidents when a box full of goods falls on a warehouse labourer, there are also less common ones too. An office worker can lose their footing and fall down the stairs, causing an injury to their head, which could lead to a concussion. His or her ribs could also be bruised or broken; in the case of the latter, ribs are bound together and take a painfully long time to heal.

It can happen that the outer sole of a shoe catches on a new office carpet, which caused the office worker to lurch forward unexpectedly. While they haven’t technically tripped on an obstacle carelessly left on the floor, the carpet itself caused friction that contributed to the unusual fall. In other cases, a box can slip the top of a cabinet on to a worker’s foot and break some toes. It’s surprising what can befall people working in the seemingly safe confines of a modern office building.

Holiday Not What You Expected

An increasing issue for holidaymakers in the UK is finding that the package holiday that they booked included less than stellar service or failed to include what was claimed. Sometimes, a swimming pool was to be included and when you arrived it was filled in. Other times, the breakfast consisted of only one slice of toast and a tiny packet of jam, and you feel cheated. In a more serious situation, an accident can happen in the hotel room or on the hotel property and you wonder whether compensation is possible from the holiday company.

It’s a good idea to look at what was in the fine print for the holiday agreement to see what was offered. When things are not spelled out clearly, it’s more difficult to make a case. Clearly, where there’s been an accident while on holiday and negligence can be proven, then a claim for compensation might be in order.

You never know what may cause you to need legal representation. Unexpected things happen to people every day. A good solicitor can provide advice about whether there’s a possible claim or if you’re unlikely to be successful.
