It is estimated that some parents are spending
£460 on keeping their children entertained in the summer holidays! Luckily
for you I have teamed up with BT TV Kids as they are giving us parents a much
needed helping hand over the summer holidays, by offering a free ‘Summer of
Fun’ BT TV bumper activity book to everyone, which you can download for free by
clicking here.
The free printable
activity book was created to keep your active kids inspired and entertained
with a range of fun activities to do at home and out and about over the
holidays, based on the kids shows available on BT TV.
I can honestly say that the activity book is one of the best
I have seen. It is packed with activities like spot the difference, creating bunting,
paint by numbers, mazes, colouring, masks for fancy dress and a road race game.
Not only that, but each of the activities are branded with characters from some
of the most well-known shows around: Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom, PAW
Patrol, Mickey and The Roadstar Racers, Nella the Princess Knight, SpongeBob
SquarePants and The Lion Guard.
I urge you to download it, most children will love getting
involved with arts and crafts as it is an outlet for them to be creative and
have some fun as well as bond with you. Getting crafty is not only fun, but it
is so good for the development skills, helping them enhance their bilateral coordination,
fine motor coordination, self-regulation and self-esteem.
BT TV Kids offers an incredible mix of nine channels
including Disney, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. BT TV customers can access
these channels and the following by adding on the BT
TV Kids bolt on priced just £4: Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, Nickelodeon,
Nick Jr, Nick Toons, Boomerang, Cartoon Network and Cartoonito.
Upgrade and your family can watch the latest episodes of
their favourite shows from Shimmer and Shine, PAW Patrol to Peppa Pig and enjoy
over 2,000 episodes of kids entertainment on demand in the BT Player.
Like most parents I rely on the TV some days to help relax
and amuse my two boys. One way I plan on keeping them engaged in the coming
weeks is by letting them explore and play with the things they see and hear on
their favourite programs. So should they see Blaze rocking a guitar, we can go learn
about how they work on YouTube or find a guitar and have a little play!
I also found that using episodes of your little ones’
favourite programmes can help with potty training. Which is something we plan
on doing this holiday with Charlie as he keeps asking to go for a wee like his
big brother. We used the TV to help us potty train Ted and I am now going to
look to do it with Charlie: three times a day we will have him sit on the
potty, nappy free watching his best loved TV shows. During this time there is a
good chance that he will go for a wee. We found that by letting him sit and wee
whilst watching TV gets them used to the feeling of going to the toilet and
introducing the routine into his life – fingers crossed it will help again!
Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoy the free downloadable
activity pack and it goes someway to help you keep your children happy and out
of trouble.
If you haven’t yet followed BT UK on Facebook I highly
recommend you do, they are running lots of kids competitions over the holidays
