6 Cool Decorating Ideas For Toddlers

Now that Ted is months away from turning three we feel now is the right time to revamp his room, you know make it more Toddler friendly than baby-proof. Whilst his room is a wash with baby-centric products or decor it definitely needs a lick of paint and an inject of fun.

So on my quest for inspiration, trawling through the deep and dark pages on Pinterest and Instagram i found some rather cool concepts and products that i want to share with you, but hope to replicate in the near future. My son loves the colour Blue, Power Rangers and Disney films, with this mix i haven't picked products that tie-in to an overall theme, but i have created an idea of what would make him very very happy.

Power-Rangers Murals

As previously mentioned my son is completely bonkers for all things Power Rangers so on the start of my search for inspiration i had to begin by looking for murals of the Blue Ranger. Whilst i couldn't find a great deal of options for the Blue Ranger i did find a great Wall Vinyl on Ebay. I tell you now if i put this in my toddler's room tonight it would blow his mind.

Airplane Shelf

I often take my sons to watch the planes take-off at Leeds Bradford Airports as it is just a fifteen minute drive away. We have access to an excellent viewpoint and i guess these trips out have fueled his love for flying. He loves anything that fly's so when i saw this 'blue' areoplane inspired bookshelf i knew it was a product that needed to be considered.

Bus Bed

One on the coolest beds i have seen in a long-time the Bus Bed puts your kids in the driving seat of their imagination. The quirky London Bus bed frame is bright and colourful, designed for fun but built for comfort, i see it provides a touch of colour to the room and giving us the opportunity to let Ted have his friends and cousins to sleep over the weekends.

Car Storage

Like most boys my Toddler is fascinated by automobiles and like most kids he has a thousand cars littered around the house. From Paw Patrol through to Blaze, from Police cars through to racing cars we thought it would handy to have a place he can store his collection. Metal utensil holders can make for handy storage.

Height-Chart

I love the idea of having a space where we can see our son's progress and i put in some key milestones and memories. I really like the look of the flag height-chart below and i thought i could customise it by having it themed around his favorite programs like Power Rangers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Peppa Pig.

Disney Blinds

With our house having a sloping roof we have always considered adding roof windows into the bedrooms to give each room more light. With that in mind i have found the perfect windows from roofblinds.co.uk who sell Disney themed Velux blinds. Each Disney & Velux dream blind design is unique and tailored specifically to the size and shape of the window and offers total blackout.

With Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Bambi, Planes, Winnie the Pooh and Princesses there is something for every kid. My Toddler would want to get his hands on the Plane blinds!
