Toy Review - Peppa Pig Tumble & Spin

This week we had the pleasure of testing the Peppa Pig Tumble and Spin game from Jumbo Games.

On the run up to Christmas i am sure many of you, like me will be running around finding a heap of Peppa Pig, Frozen and Minion toys.

If you are looking for a multi-player game for your 3+ year old then this might be worth looking at. Suitable for 2-4 players, the game can take around 15 minutes to play, which i think is the perfect length to keep you little ones attention.

Delivered or pick-up from store the game comes in a detailed and colourful box. We had ours through the post so it was boxed-up and well protected in bubble-wrap.

Peppa is well secured inside the packaging as you can see from the images. So you have need to worry about Peppa being damaged in transit.

This game did not come with batteries which was fine as access to to the internals were easy to access with a small screw-driver.

Inside the game you get one big Peppa Pig, playing cards and some detailed instructions that let you understand how the game works in seconds.

The object of the game is to be the first player to collect one card of all your Peppa pig friends. To win you must collect 5 cards, one card for each of your Peppa friends; George, Emily, Rebecca, Suzy and Danny. You must shuffle the cards before you play each-time.

The game is best played on the floor; as long as Peppa has ample amount of space to spin fast and freely you are good.

To begin sit the players around in a circle, evenly spaced out. The youngest player gets to spin first and once Peppa lands on you must listen to what she says, if she says....

"One!"
If she shouts one then you turn over one card. Call out the name of Peppa's friend on the card. If it is a card you have already you need to show everyone and then you put it back in the stack.

"Two!"
You get to pick up two cards, lucky you! The same rules apply should you already have the cards.

"Close your eyes"
If you hear these dreaded words then you must give one card back :( whilst you have your eyes closed a play must take one card and place it anywhere in the pile of cards.

Game Variants
The instruction suggest removing cards to speed up the game for young players. We played a different way as we had five players. We played that if Peppa landed on you then you got to pick a card, this worked equally as well should your little ones not be able to grasp the game at first go.

I recorded the kids in action.....

So ladies and gentlemen if you are searching for a family game that is quick and fun to play with your 3 year old then i can't think of any reason why you wouldn't want to consider this game.

Everyone loves Peppa and i feel that my son has got just as much enjoyment out of having a Peppapig spinner than playing the game with his relatives and parents.

Disclaimer - The game was gifted to me by Jumbo games, however the views and opinions expressed in this post are my own and have in no way been influenced by any third party.
