Producing a personalised gift is always a big hit for any birthday or special occasion. Having a loaded card meant that my girl-friend could spend the money whenever she wanted, on what she wanted.
You can buy the card at your local Post Office or jump online. I went through the website as i wanted to create my own personalised gift card just for mothers day.
Starting the process you select how much you want to load onto the card (Minimum: £10 Maximum: £400). You then get to create your own personalised message that will appear inside your greeting card - this is the section to write something soppy and or sweet :)
The site already had a wide range of established designs, making it super quick for me to choose which mother's day card i wanted. The next step was my favourite because i got the chance to add one her most loved photo of our son. Whilst i only added one image onto the card, you can add more photo, texts and effects should you wish.
We ventured around Argos, Mothercare and Toy's R Us searching for gifts until mummy decided that she wanted to spend her pennies on a new cot for the new baby.
She is now 25 weeks pregnant, this is our 2nd child and we haven't yet start the "nesting" phase. I feel that she wanted to spend her mother's day gift on something that is worthwhile investing in.
Not only did she buy a new cot we also purchased a new video baby monitors and a ball for our son. Using the card was easy, all we did was hand it over to the cashier and they seemed very familiar with the card which was reassuring.
So we packed the cot in the car and headed back home. We hadn't yet had time to sort through room number 3 which was currently being used as a holding room for all the location-less items left over from the big house move a couple of months ago.
Armed with the desire to give mum an amazing gift i decided to go to work on the new babies room. I quickly relocated the un-housed items elsewhere in the house and free'd up the room to start getting to work.
Firstly i placed all the hand-me-down's in the babies room first and shortly after got working on the cot. As you can see from the picture of the left the room is now looking fab. Mummy was very pleased and now feels more relaxed that we've made a start on creating a little world for our new son to grow-up in.
For those looking for a Mother's Day gift i would recommend the One4all card. It's quick, easy to use and create, as well as being personalised it's perfect for those picky mummies that are not quite sure what they wan't this mothers day.
