The kind folks over at Mega Bloks asked if i was interested in reviewing
one of their Call of Duty collectors sets. I jumped at the chance as i am a huge COD fan, at uni a stacked up days of game time and would have called my self a hardcore COD gamer.

I was sent the half track ambush collectors set to build and play with. it retails for £29.99 and is suitable for ages 12 and up. It was nice to have a toy i could play with for one and the fact that it was COD made the project even more special.


The Half Track Ambush features an iconic World War II military vehicle built for cross-country troop infiltration where roads may not lead. This buildable half track transport measures 8.8 L x 3.6 W x 3.7 H in inches, is armed with a forward-facing roof cannon and equipped with real working treads and rubber tires, doors that open and shut, authentic windshields, and can carry up to nine soldiers.


Recreate legendary scenes of Allied troops breaking through enemy lines and surprising the enemy on their own turf. The Half Track Ambush comes with two extremely poseable micro action figures – a four-star Allied general and his loyal soldier – and highly detailed, authentic interchangeable accessories and weapons.

When i got down to building the set i confess it was a little more difficult than i remembered. When i was young i was able to knock sets up in minutes, this time around it took me about 3 hours over several nights to have it completed.


I admit to you that i actually used the wrong pieces on several occasions which led to me having to start over again. Once i got the ball rolling i was able to build pace and accuracy.  Building the set was enjoyable, it took me back to my childhood and it was a great little project to work on after the long days at work.
