There are some brands we have all grow up with, these brands are the ones we use today and not only because we often have fond memories of those products but because we have grown to trust them.
One of these brands for me was Persil. I was lucky enough to get my hands on two new bottles of Persil washing up liquid, one was apple fizz and the other was fresh mint. The sparkling new formula is fantastic and i wouldn't trust any other brand to wash my sons bottles in everyday! Persil’s new and improved formula means each bottle will clean 12 per cent (that’s 1,400) more dirty plates than before, delivering sparkling results every time.
Not only do i love the brand but they are always doing exciting stuff to get kids into the kitchen or encourage people to cook healthy food. They have recently launched the Persil Cook with Kids campaign in which they have been encouraging families to get messy in the kitchen. British parents avoid cooking with their children because of the mess they make, reveals a new study of 2,000 people.
The research, conducted by Persil Washing Up Liquid,
found that 88%* of parents say they avoid cooking with their children because
of the mess and washing up it will lead to. Almost half (47%) of parents said they
prefer to keep their kitchen clean and tidy ‘at all times’ and a further 41% said
they are simply too busy to clear up the mess afterwards.
Cooking seems to have always been a job for grandma,
with 43% of parents saying
they cooked with their grandma when they were
little.
For those who do cook with their children, it seems
parents prefer to make dinner
with their kids rather than bake cakes. Parents and
kids are mostly likely to make
lasagne (14%), pizza (13%) and pasta (13%).
Lyndsay Jones, spokesperson for Persil Washing Up
Liquid, said: “Parents seem to
be reluctant to cook with their children because
they prefer keeping their kitchen
clean and tidy.
“We believe making a mess can be a good thing as
long as you clean up eventually!
Hopefully, as a result of our ‘Cook with the Kids’
promise, more parents will be
encouraged to spend time with their children in the
kitchen.”
Persil Washing Up Liquid’s new formula, available
from March, will clean 12%
(1,400) more dirty plates than before.
Persil Washing Up Liquid’s ‘Cook with the Kids’
promise aims to get 100,000 parents
to sign up to spend time baking and making a mess
with their kids in the
kitchen:
