It's a sad day for me, my wallet after 4 years of service will now be retired. I love my wallet, it is one of those things I rarely change as I find it hard to locate one that is tailored to my preferences.

This particular wallet was our cashed in Spain 4 years ago. In Los Alcazares in Murcia there is a local market every Tuesday. It's at this market I found my pride and joy! A local man was selling knockoff and homemade wallets, I browsed looking for a wallet that would hold a stack of cards, a strong and wide note section and most importantly a section for the coins that could hold more than just £2. You would never imagine that finding one like this would be so difficult, but it was, but luckily for me this local man had one wallet for me and it was only €4. An absolute bargain in my eyes!

I'm not one for big brands, I don't care much for flashy wallets I just need one that actually hold cards, notes and cards. I don't need them all flying out when I pull out my wallet at Mac Donald's when I am treating the misses.

I felt the need to write about the wallet as I have loved having something that has outlasted its shelf life. And now that holes have appeared and the fabric is breaking away it is now time to embark on a journey to discover a new wallet. Challenge I am sure I am not ready to face but one that is ultimately essential!

I'm not one for spending hours shopping in the menswear departments. It's time to batten down the hatches and begin a new search for a wallet. If I am unable to complete the mission before June then I will be going on holiday to Spain again so I will be visiting the same market in the hope that the local market, the man and his stall are still going strong.

I fear that my search will be long and arduous! I will keep you informed, I hope other wallet enthusiast understand my feelings, reflections and thoughts!
