DIY DAD - The Old Hole In The Wall Routine

As the colder weather is upon us the Yorkshire Dad household decided it was best to invest in an electric heater before the baby arrives.
After shopping around we would a good old bargain at B&M bargains in York. We got a fantastic Warmlite heater for under £70, great really when you consider the cheapest electric heater in Homebase was £120.

The tiny cream heater fitted inside our fire place perfectly and was well accompanied by 6 dried logs. The only problem we had with the electric heater was that we didn't really have a socket close-by to be able to plug the heater in, so it came down to doing a bit of good old DIY.
Our house is made of bricks constructed from dark matter, extremely difficult to drill through our house will never be at risk from blowing down i the next 100 years. For the job i had to borrow an industrial drill and drill-bit, not something you have to handle every day really.

It was a task i was looking forward to do, a straight hole through several layers of brick. The plan was to get a straight hole, no mess and no mistakes.... it wasn't as easy as it looks as the wall made holding the drill difficult. After a successful two minutes of "Power-Drilling" it was over, the hole was done.
The next step was to get the wires form the electric heater through the hole - step up the Yorkshire Dad again to take apart the plug, thread it through the hole and put it all back together.
Not only was the job done under 5 minutes, i was also able to clean up without having the dog roll around in the dirt and dust. Once i checked the that the wiring was secure i set about filling-in the rest of the hole with filler.

Take a look at a job well done, phrase for a job well done will be appreciated.
