Yesterday i posted an article on how i built a base for my shed, did you see it?
Well weeks before the shed was due to go down we had to remove a huge tree stump that had been left in the back-garden since the tree has been removed early in 2012.
The tree stump it self was insane, insane because of its depth, weight and position. The tree had grown underneath two sheds and one garage - a pain for us having to manually remove the stump.
Armed with an array of tools we started at 8am hacking away at the tree stump and its roots. As a four man team we braved heavy rain to remove the stump and with one broken axe we managed to have the stump removed in 4hours.
That was 4 hours of blood, sweat and tears but it did save us hundreds of pounds in removal fees. The lads were supplied with bacon, tea and treats throughout by our other-halves.
We found a treasure trove of dog toys during our excavation, a few worms and several old coins. In the end the tree stump was cut down and used for fire wood.
