I didn't expect to find this in my loft!

I was in the loft today searching for the odds and ends of left over carpet when i stumbled across a old book hidden underneath two old pieces of wood.

The old book happened to be a A 1963 British Railways Passenger Services Booklet of the North Eastern England. The book back then only cost a shilling, it was still in great condition as well - the pages are beautiful and full or rich text and train times.

If anyone knows anything about the value of history of the book please drop me an email i would be grateful for more information!

Finding the book not only made me appreciate our history but also my love for trains. As a boy trains were our first love and many of us regardless of the generation will have been entranced by Thomas the tank.

So yer here is a little of 50 year old history waiting to be found. I haven't yet been able to fully search the attic for other hidden treasure but it does make me think what else do we all have hidden away without even knowing we could be living with something historically or financially priceless.

Get out your loft ladders and search!
