DATE NIGHT WITH KINGS OF LEON: Sheffield Arena 10/06/2017

In less than a month my fiancée and i are set to take a night-off from parenthood to go and watch one of my favourite bands, Kings of Leon live.

We have managed to secure tickets from Gigsandtours.com to see the Kings of Leon at Sheffield Arena on the 10th of June. It will be the first time i see the Kings of Leon live! As you can imagine i am over the moon at not only securing the tickets, but securing childcare for the night.

They are touring in the UK after they have releasing their seventh studio album, Walls. Admittedly this album is quite unlike anything you've heard them before from the band. It is rather pop-facing, with channelling guitar sounds of the 1980s.

Whilst i am excited to hear the newer tracks i am really looking forward to hearing some of the older tracks like Pyro, Radioactive Knocked-up and the Bucket. My favourite album has to be Only by Night, which my other-half bought me on LP for Christmas back in 2008.

I don't have many people queuing up to look after ours boys, so it is only on the rare occasions we get to venture out to enjoy some quality time together. Before the boys came along we ventured-out to gigs all-over the UK. From watching the Alexisonfire farewell tour at the O2 academy in London, to U2 and Tenacious D in Manchester Arena and The Who at the First Direct Arena in Leeds we have witnessed some epic and unforgettable sets.

As i said previously we got don't many nights out, but we do know how to have a good time and make the most of what time we have away from the kids. We are thinking about staying over the night in Sheffield to get some much needed sleep after the gigs and coming back home earlier the next day. The benefit to staying over would be that i can have a couple of drinks at the gigs and beforehand at our pre-meal at a restaurant close-by.

Have any date night plans in the pipeline? If not i recommend following Gigs and Tours on Twitter for the latest events, gigs and ticket info:
