Mother Shipton's Cave is one of Yorkshire's top family attractions and is located in Knaresborough. For those of you that don't know Mother Shipton's story... she is England's most famous prophetess. She foretold the fates of several rulers within and just after her lifetime, as well as the invention of iron ships, the Great Fire of London in 1666, the defeat of the Spanish Armada... and even the end of the world.

You can read all about the attraction on their website: mothershipton.co.uk or watch Warwick Davis visit the attraction on Weekend Escapes...

I've been to Mother Shipton's cave last year and I wished for a home even though it was quite hard to buy one considering our circumstances at that time (been in UK for less than 3 years at that time). After a few months our credit was approved and we bought our home. I'm not superstitious, but it's a lovely story :)
Knaresborough is a lovely town, I've been to the bed race a few months ago and I loved it. I was able to visit the castle too. There are a lot of wonderful places in Yorkshire.
