Banana Ice-cream
The best thing about this recipe is that you don’t
need anything except bananas! Just cut a few bananas and put them in the freezer
to cool off. After some time, when they’re nice and cold, take them out and
place them in a blender. This is just one of the delicious
treats that your kids will absolutely love and at the same
time it’s perfectly healthy and doesn’t require any effort at all! What more
could you ask for?
Apple and Banana
Chips
These snacks are easy to prepare and are quite light
and healthy. Many people think they need a dehydrator to prepare this snack but
you can also easily prepare it in the oven. Just take a few apples and bananas,
cut them into thin pieces and put them in the oven to bake. You may sprinkle
them with cinnamon and some powder sugar just to add some extra flavour. It
takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour to get that crunchy feeling that every kid
adores.

Grilled Dark
Chocolate Sandwich
For this recipe you’ll just need a ¼ of fat-free
evaporated milk, 3 ounces of bittersweet chocolate and some whole-grain bread.
Preparations take about 20 minutes and it makes a great breakfast. Just heat
the milk, add the chocolate and whisk it until smooth. Then, after it cools
down, spread the mixture on the bread and ‘cook’ the sandwiches in a large
non-stick skillet. I personally use Scanpan as it is top quality and my food is always perfectly
prepared. This is a dessert that every kid loves and can never get enough of.
You can add hazelnuts and chocolate chips into the mixture to their liking.
Strawberries
Dipped in Chocolate
There is not much to explain is there? There’s not a
child in the world who would refuse this delicious treat. When it comes to
chocolate, use dark or bittersweet chocolate to cut the amount of sugar. And to
make sure that you’re feeding your children only the best food, consider
growing your own strawberries in the garden. This goes for all fruits and
vegetables and not just for strawberries; after all, there’s nothing better
that picking the fruits of your own labour.

Granola Bars
These crispy cereal bars make a perfect high-energy
snack. The best thing is that you can prepare
them together with your kids. You just pick
the ingredients your children love and mash them all together. That can be
oats, almonds, hazelnuts, raisins and even some dried apricots or cranberries.
You’ll also need some butter, honey and brown sugar. When you combine these
three ingredients and get them to boiling point add the oatmeal mixture that
you previously prepared. It takes about 30 minutes for it to turn into a light
golden brown colour, which is a clear sign that it’s finished. Wait for it to
cool and cut into squares.
It may sound challenging but preparing healthy snacks
for your children isn’t actually that hard. Just be creative and try to combine
all the things they love in some more healthy alternatives. They’ll see no
difference and will be screaming for seconds!
