My 30-Day Social Media Challenge Attempt

Right folks....I'll be giving up all of my personal social media accounts for 30 days for the the 30-Day Social Media Challenge.

So why the hell am i doing this? Simple... i waste hours of my times every day by just sitting on my phone flicking through Facebook and Twitter reading, sharing, commenting on the news and my friends and followers posts. And even though i love doing it i spend far too much time invest in social media and not the "real world". I have a list as long as my arm of things to get done and by giving up my social media access i hope to cross off some of these tasks and spend a little more time in the real world. So spending more time with my family friends, cleaning, cooking awesome and favorite healthy food as well as writing more blog posts.

Being honest i am not actually sure i will get through the 30 days as i think i'm addicted. Tonight i took the first step and deleted the apps off my phone and sent out my last updates for 30 days. So until the 6th of May the only updates you will see on my Twitter account are the automatic Tweets sent out from my blog when a new post goes live.

Here is the Evidence:
Twitter
Facebook

As Sophia Breene said when she undertook the challenge "I’m pretty curious about this month. Will I gain perspective, learn some new hobbies, and connect better with my friends and family?" There is only one way to find out. I will keep you upto with my progress!

  1. A very noble goal...though not sure if I'd be as brave!

I do notice when I'm on the train, or waiting at the station, just how many people are staring at their phones and not talking to their friends who they're standing / sitting with. Sometimes to be social, we need to hold back with the social media!

    Good luck!
