Work takes up so much of our daily lives. Not just the physical act of being in the office, getting the job done but our thought lives too. Thinking about your workload for the week, worrying about a project that looks like it might hit the buffers, we spend far too much time with it in our heads.

Type Racer
This game is genius. It’s going to make you look very busy, while at the same time indulging your competitive side. Choose a car and play against the computer. The aim is to type out a piece of text as fast as possible. The faster you type, the faster your car goes. Both fun and a great way of practising your touch typing.
Game Time
Playing games on your phone is fine and things like Sportsbetting on your Phone is probably easier than doing it from your work PC but when you need to look like you’re working nothing beats a little stealth game play. Here are some of the best games you can play that will keep you below the radar, while helping that Friday afternoon to fly by.
Crash Planning
Looks like a spreadsheet, acts like a spreadsheet but is in fact a weirdly addictive game. You basically just need to align the coloured boxes until you get a row and they disappear. Obviously it’s not as easy as it sounds but at least you can play it with the boss right next to you and they won’t have a clue.
QWOP
This game is going to frustrate the hell out of you. As the name suggests, you use the QW and OP keys to control a runner on the screen. One set of keys controls his leg movements while the other denotes his speed. It’s super hard to get everything working together seamlessly and you’ll give up a lot. But rest assured when it comes to a choice between mastering QWOP or updating your spreadsheets, you’re going back to this annoying game a lot more than you’re choosing to work.
Cubefield
It’s always the simplest of games that work best and this is like a lot of racing games you’ve played over the years. You simply race your object around the cubes in the field and as you get better, the game gets faster. Before you know it you’re grabbing your coat and heading out of the door. Friday afternoon complete.
Whatever you do to incorporate a little downtime in your day just make sure not to get caught. Practise hitting that minimiser button at top speed. Friday afternoons were meant to be fun so get involved with some classic games and bring on the weekend. Monday will be here again soon enough.
