If you have purchased tickets then i recommend taking some money along with you to buy toys and gifts. We spent about £40 on two Disney branded flash flights, £12 on a couple of car hats and a program, £8 on two lots of popcorn and £20 on food and drinks from the bar.
A couple of other things to remember before you enter in to the arena:
- You cant not take in rucksacks
- You can not take in large amounts of food or drink
- Get there with at least 30 minutes to go - this will give you enough time to que, go to the loo, buy some snacks and look at the toys on sale
What to expect
The show lasts for three hours, with a twenty minutes break in the middle. Being honest for the younger kids that hour and twenty minutes can be a struggle for them; the show held my two year olds attention for at least 95% of that time.
Kicking off the show and keeping your little ones interested during costumes and set changes are Mickey and Minnie Mouse, as well a Donald Duck and Goofy. Their scenes bring big laughs and reinforce the strength of the production.
The first half of the show is dedicated to bring to life some of the best loved scenes and songs from Toy Story and the Little Mermaid.
To give you a quick snapshot of the show i have compiled short clips of each performance to give you a better idea of what to expect.
All in all my wife, the kids and i all agree that it was brilliant, fun and enchanting. The skaters/characters were brilliant and interacted with us throughout the show. The entire crowd was singing along to the songs, clapping and having a good time; there was a feel good factor about the place. The performances do enough to keep your little ones captivated, it might just look like good skating, but they bring the stories to life in such a way that it appears new, yet somewhat familiar.
