Rocking The Classic Rucksack

Last week i was lucky enough to be asked by scruffs.com to put their own Classic Rucksack to the test. Naturally we obliged and it came at the perfect time as the family were heading over to Nottingham for a week long holiday at Center Parcs. I couldn't think of a better time to put a bag through its paces than a family holiday and a trip to the Deep in Hull!

For those of you that don't know, Scruffs is a company specialising in men’s outdoor clothing and accessories; from heat-lock midlayer tops, shock-proof sports watches and the sturdiest weatherproof jackets on the market.

The bag is visually appealing, you can tell at first glance that the rucksack is quality made. The rucksack is made from water resistant fabric with built in boot compartment, cool bag and laptop sleeve. I have refereed to it as the swiss-amry bag it that many pockets and compartments.

One of the best features has to be the EVA padding they have added to the straps and back, it provides maximum comfort when carried. 

So we started to use the bag as a replacement for our current nappy bag. So we chucked everything you could think into the bag; nappies, wipes, shoes, spare changes of clothes, drinks, sun glasses, lunch, phones, wallets and toys.

Our first outing was at the Deep in Hull for Charlie's Birthday outing, i was genuinely surprised at how comfortable the bag was the first time i put in on. It seemed to distribute the weight evenly and whilst the bag was heavy, not cause any aching in the usual places. As you can see from the images below the bag fits in well with the 'daddy-chic' look...

The big test came when we ventured to Center Parcs for a week last week. The bag was used all week to carry everything from our nappies and food, through to our swimwear and towels. Taking the bag out each and every day really did make me appreciate how comfortable it was and how much space it provides. I really did ram it full of stuff on some of the days and it still felt great!
