An Introductory Guide to The Ryder Cup: The PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles

Source: http://www.artistsgolf.com/gleneagles.htm
One of the biggest sporting events of the year is heading to Scotland. The Ryder Cup is heading to Gleneagles. The PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles is one of the best courses in the country and happens to be Designed by legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus.

The course is 5,322 yards from the red tees and 7,243 yards from the blue tees and presents a challenge for both experienced pros and new amateurs. Set to the stunning views of Scottish countryside the course is truly in an amazing place, you can see four different mountains from nearly as many holes.

The Ryder Cup has been an event event in my upbringing as my dad would always take days off work to watch the cup. I have great memories of the cup and i want my son to also share in the magic, excellence and thrills of the Ryder Cup in years to come.

One of the great sporting comebacks was sealed by a nerveless six-footer by the German Martin Kaymer to beat Steve Stricker and then by Tiger Woods bizarrely giving Francesco Molinari a three-footer. The passion of the Poulter driving Europe through to victory is one of the moments i will keep with me until the day i die.

As i have said previously i want my son to grow-up loving golf, not only playing it but experiencing the big tournaments like the Ryder Cup.  Online Golf have put together an introductory guide to this years Ryder Cup at Gleneagles. The guide has video overviews of each holes, a easy to digest history sections and expert quotes from Golfers around the world. If you want to either educate yourself or your children i would recommend having a look at Online Golf's Guide to The Ryder Cup

OnlineGolf.co.uk are running a blogger competition for anyone that shares their guide on their blog to be in with a chance of winning one of three golfing prizes!
