I haven't done a blog post in what seems to be an age, so here it goes...
Everyday i get quizzed on the health and well-being of Theo (11 week old son) - with people always asking when will he walk, talk, do hard shits, get his first asbo and everything else under the sun. To be honest i have no bloody idea about when "things" are meant to happen.
Does anyone really know when their baby will first utter his first word or take his first step? I found this awesome infographic that gave me enough of an idea of the time-scale for development, without frightening me to death.
The problem is that all babies develop at their own pace, and if they haven't developed by these times we as parents feel pressure. Is there something wrong, does he need to go see a doctor?
I think I'm rather lucky, Theo is a good egg, top guys and seems to picking things up already. He has only just turned 11 weeks old and his vision is superb and he wants to be up, moving and bouncing around.
Not only does he want to run before he can walk but he also seems to love having a good old chat. All I have to do is speak rather slowly in that high-pitched daddy voice and he seems to pour his soul into speaking to me -He loves out!
Take a look at the infographic.. let me know your thoughts!
