Welcome Theodore Stanley-David Young

On the morning of the 7th December at 8:08am, a baby boy weighing in at 8LB 8OZ was born in Harrogate Hospital.

The experience of labour and the emotions i felt during that time were unexpected and over-welcoming. The worrying, anticipation and emotions were all released upon his arrival. I am so proud of my girl friend who had a natural birth, only using gas and air to get through the ordeal.... what a hero, i couldnt of done it.

Mother and baby are doing fine, a few hiccups over the past week but every is now in good health and we are at home. Settling into fatherhood has been easier than i first thought, the sleep deprivation is worse than originally thought. Every time i get an hour i am taking the opportunity to rest, eat and sleep.

The blog will be undated as an when, i do hope to bring you entertaining story's of parenthood soon. Here are a few topics i plan on tackling in the next few weeks;

  • Tongue-tie
  • The best Nappies/wipes on the market
  • Powered Milk - what is best and why
  • How much sleep is enough
  • What is normal?
  • Dogs and babies!
