Jurassic Kingdom Experience Leeds | Family Day Out in Yorkshire

On the weekend we got the chance to visit the amazing Jurassic Kingdom Experience at Temple Newsam in Leeds.

What is the Jurassic Kingdom Exoerince you ask?
The Jurassic Kingdom is on a UK wide tour, opening on the 13th October 2017 in Leeds and closing on the 29th October 2017. The tour is a spectacular outdoor dinosaur experience aimed at family audiences with over 30 impressive installations of animated dinosaurs with electronic moving parts. Animatronics include arms moving up and down, tails swaying side-to-side, heads moving up and down, eyes blinking and jaws opening wide with roaring sound effects. Making for a truly awesome educational and entertaining Jurassic experience!

Temple Newsam  is an incredible place in its self and i highly recommend visiting all year round. Parking up at Temple Newsam House, we took the five minute walk down to where the entrance was located, just beyond the farm.

The entrance was busy, but buzzing and with the Jurassic Kingdom entrance making an exciting welcome for the little ones. You can buy tickets on the door, however if you buy them online beforehand you get a £6 discount and you get to go straight-in.

Just a couple of minutes in from the entrance there was the first dinosaur. A Triceratops! A first the boys were a little bit scared of the movements and the sounds, however they quickly came round and let me take a couple of pictures along side the mighty herbivore.

Making our way around and following the path we discovered a good number of dinosaurs, each one moving and making its own noises. Each one had a plinth with information relating to each of the dinosaurs we came across.

The scale and variety of dinosaurs on display is impressive and it is so nice to have them in such an open space. I recorded some of our trip so anyone thinking of visiting could get a good idea of what to see and expect.

Continuing our way around the park we came across catering vans, rides and places to take photographs in dino themed sets. There was definitely a good amount to see and do for my two year old and three year old to keep them entertained for a couple of hours.

The main attraction for us had to be the the humongous Tyrannosaurus rex, the 68 million year old Tyrant Lizard King towered way about us and the boys instantly recognised the dino from movies and cartoons.

On the way out there is a gift van that is pitched-up,i recommend stopping-by and getting your little ones a little treat. They will have earned it from their little adventure.

We really enjoyed our afternoon out and i would like thank the team over at Jurassic Kingdom Experience for inviting me.
