What i wore on my wedding day #cp

So ladies and gentlemen, i am now officially a married man! It was one hell of a day and i can honestly say wish i could do it all over again.

With all the planning and stress over with it is now time for us to sit down and reflect on the time we had and what we wore. For many people, me being one, it was hard at first to know what i wanted to wear on my wedding day. Not only are there suits to consider, but shoes, hair, accessories, ties and more.

I thought i would share with you what i wore on the day in the hope that inspires other husbands to be on their wedding day outfit choices:

The Suits

I am not one for traditional wedding suits, i felt that a more modern and darker coloured suit would be suit me and my best men better. As we were are all different shapes and sizes we picked up our suits from suitsmen.co.uk, who stock and sell a wide range of suits and extra large men's suits.

The Ring

Some people want a flashy wedding band, but for me i wanted one that was modern, understated and practical. Working at a desk for the majority of the day i wanted one that would be overly heavy and clang on the desk every time my hand touched something. Looking around at multiple stores and sites i decided to go with a 18ct White Gold 5mm Extra Heavy D Shape Ring from H.Samuel, retailing at £499.

The Watch

On the day i opted to wear my Kolt Silver/White Skeleton watch Sandstone Leather Strap watch from Weird Ape, retailing at £159.99. The modern and British design complemented my suit and ring nicely!

The Tie

To match the bridesmaids, flowers and decorations we decided to go with a Pink silk patterned time from NEXT, which came with a pocked square and only cost £18.

The Aftershave

On the day i wanted to wear a new aftershave, one that was gentle and not overpowering. I had heard good things about the range of aftershave avaliable at NEXT. So when i went to buy my tie i had a good smell of all of their range and purchased NEXT Code Red for £9.99.

The Shoes

I am not a huge fan of brogues or flashy shoes, so when it came to picking my footwear fr the day i went for a classic brown Oxford shoe from Moss Bros for £49.99.

I am not one for photographs or hogging the limelight, but on my wedding day i felt a million bucks. I am so glad i invested money in to buying products i liked, tested and trusted.

Three Wedding Must haves
The day was magical and it was even more perfect by some of the key ingredients we had mixed in on the day:

1. Wedding Tipi
We found that having a space away from the main wedding enabled people to take a break from festivities. It can be a long day, so a rest away from the noise is a must. We go our tipi via the hotel, but places like Garden Weddings Tipi Hire have a wide range of options if you are going to do it yourself.

2. Magician
It was the perfect act to keep everyone entertained between the ceremony and the reception. We hired a local guy to come in and he wasn't overly expensive. So jump on Facebook to see who offers the service in your local area.

3. Drone
Adding an extra dimension to the photography on the day resulted in some fantastic shots. Shots that we have on our wall to this day. Whether it a shot of the location, the ceremony or of your loved one, splashing that extra bit of cash on a drone photographer can make all the difference!
