Discovering Star Wars With the Itty Bittys range from Hallmark

May has always been a special month for Star Wars fan, not only because of the May the 4th celebrations, but because the movie was released on May 25, 1977. Which means "A New Hope" was released 40 years ago this week and even though i wasn't even born yet upon its release i fell in love with the franchise growing-up, like most kids did.

Space, light-saber duels and kick-ass space-ships lured many kids in to the Galaxy. I first discovered Star Wars when the Phantom Menace was released in the cinema back in 1999. Fast forward to 2017 and my 3 year old has also discovered Star Wars through his cousin as he has been watching the Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series.

So when Hallmark reached-out to me asking if i wanted to review their Itty Bitty Star Wars collection, i naturally jumped at the chance, knowing that i would have a rather happy 3 year old.

For those of you not yet familiar with Hallmark's Itty Bittys, they are a super cute range of plush characters, from Disney, Start Wars, DC Comics, Marvel, The Wizard of Oz, Peanuts, Scooby Doo and more.Their miniature size and adorable looks make the Itty Bitty plush toys wonderful gifts for kids and adults alike. The retail for six pound and can be purchased on the high-street or online via Toys R Us and on Amazon.

In the Star Wars collection they have most of the main characters from the most recent and first movies. I got to say that the attention to detail is incredible, you can easily recognise all the characters, the material is strong and the toys are well-made. The boys have been running around the garden with them and even chucking them around the place,we haven't had any breakages yet.

We all have our own favourites with Yoda. Chewbacca, R2D2 and CP30 attracting most of the attention. My three year old refers to R2D2 as R2D2345, Which is rather cute!

Since the sun has been out in force all week we took the range in to the garden to have a good play around and explore all the various characters. It was good to pass on some of Star Wars knowledge on to the kids, i believe my son now knows a good number of the characters names.

As i said previously, i really rate this collection, well-made and resonably priced means that any collector won't have to spend a fortune collecting the set and they can make for the prefect gift.
