Netflix Random Show Generator Game | #StreamTeam

We love Netflix in our household, we turn to it each and every day to give the boys their fix of Peppa Pig, Paw Patrol, Dino Trux, and Blaze. In recent weeks i felt that the boys screen time had become boring and stagnant as they were watching the same episodes over and over again.

So in a bid to expose the boys to new shows on Netlifx i devised a little game in which i asked them to pick two random numbers between one and ten. The number chosen was the number of times i moved vertically and horizontally across my son's profile. Watch us play the Netflix Random Show Generator Game.

This worked a treat as Netflix recommend shows based on a viewers past streaming history. So regardless of what program we ended up landing on, it was more than likely going to be of interest to him in some way shape or form. So from our little game we discovered the following programs:

Dinosaur Train

Remember watching Hey Arnold as a kid? Well the creator of Hey Arnold, Craig Barlett created Dinosaur Train! The series features follows a curious young Tyrannosaurus rex named Buddy who, together with his adopted Pteranodon family, takes the Dinosaur Train to explore his time period. They go on adventures with all kinds of dinosaurs helping kids learn about dinosaurs and their environment without being boring or dull.

Lego City

I confess that Lego City wasn't easy watching for us adults. The series follows criminals who only communicate through grunts and random sounds. The good guys use boats, fire engines and rockets to catch the bad guys and fix the mess they have left behind. I love lego, the boys liked the series so we are chalking this one down as a win.

Sonic Underground

I grew-up playing sonic games so i was more than excited to see what the series had to offer. Being honest it followed the same story-line as the games, but it had a little twist.... instead of fighting Dr Robotnik to free all sorts of creatures from captivity, Sonic teams up with his royal siblings (Sonia and Manic) to take down his evil nemesis and searches for his missing mother.

He-Man

Season one of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and She-Ra: Princess of Power are on Netflix. So as soon as i found out, without hesitation we dived into introducing the boys to He-man and they really loved it... just like their dad. It must be the insane colours, the random characters, and the quirky storylines that got them into it.

We have already watched the entire series three times and as such the boys now run the house copying He-Man:
Thanks for reading folks, should you give the Netflix Random Show Generator Game a blast please do let me know.
