Alternative Children’s Party Ideas

Whether your child is turning 2 or 12, planning a children’s birthday party can be a daunting task. I know hoe that feels as we have just had to plan and execute a themed power ranger party for our three year old son. With expectations running high, why not try out some alternative party ideas to wow your child and their guests!

Finding the right venue

Having your child’s party away from home at another location definitely takes away a lot of the stress and the mess. Here are some fun party venue ideas.

Indoor Skydiving

Indoor Skydiving simulation is the perfect activity for those (young and old) seeking something completely alternative, daring and a memorable experience; indoor skydiving means that your child, party and guests and the adults attending can enjoy the exciting, exhilarating experience of skydiving! Children aged 3 to 16 can partake in a skydiving party experience.

Urban Jungle Adventure Park

Hosting parties for children aged from 8 upwards, the Urban Jungle Adventure parks have several assault courses designed to challenge and encourage children and teenagers both mentally and physically, as well as having fun. After conquering the courses and the challenges, these parks usually have aquatic leisure centers and they make for great places to relax and play after your park adventures. Then what can finish off a children’s party better and reward the assault course athletes then with some great food and of course a birthday cake! Most Urban Jungle Adventures allow food to be taken into the park from home, so why not take away some more of the stress by having Flavour Catering put together a buffet to feed those hungry mouths.

Alternative party’s at home

Some of the most fun, memorable parties are those at home in the back yard. Here are some of the ways you can create a party atmosphere, cheaper than using an outside venue.

Science Slime Party

Maybe your kid has an interest in Science or anything experimental and investigative. Hosting a slime science party might sound too difficult and high tech, but carefully choosing some fun scientific activities to wow little minds can be fun and regarding for the children and adults alike.

Those scientific activities don’t have to be complicated. Gooey slime is always a winner, made from Elmer’s school glue, Hot and cold water, borax laundry detergent and green food colouring, this simple recipe will provide lots of fun. Perhaps provide trays for take-home gooey slime. Your child’s friends definitely won’t forget this party!

Gymbus

The best of both worlds! A party at home, but a venue outside to keep the mess out! The Gymbus will keep your party guests occupied for ages with soft play equipment, climbing ropes, firemen poles and more. Why not finish off the party with a catered BBQ by Flavour Catering, the can provide several different BBQ packages from Land and Sea, to the all round pleaser, The Mixed Grill. Or even a themed station! A waffle station or Build Your Own Burger station is a sure-fire way to keep even the fussiest of guests happy.

Ceramic Art Party

A relaxing time for creative young souls, a ceramic art party allows children aged 6 and above to spend some time creating their very own masterpiece to take home. Teamed with some party games and good food while the artwork dry’s and hey presto! You managed to fill a couple of hours of easy fun for your little ones party.
