Mini-mooning with the Kids?

We are officially tying the knot next year in August and i confess i am starting to get more and more excited the more we begin to plan and arrange things for the big day. Whilst we are getting stuck into Wedding Planning we have just started to discuss the mechanics of heading-out of the country for our honeymoon with or without the boys.

For those of you that don't know we have moved the wedding forward a year because we have had some ill relatives and we want to have every family member to attend in good health.

With the change in dates we did have comprises to make and after recently conversations we have considered heading out on a mini-moon straight after the wedding. Thus giving us time to plan our dream honey-moon, as i really want to spend a week or two visiting some of the world's most luxury and or naturally beautiful locations, whether that's visiting the Aurora Borealis (or the northern lights) in snowy Iceland or sunning ourselves i beautiful Barbados.
I confess that searching for holidays aboard is a little bit frightening as we have never taken both of the boys out of the country at the same time before. We took Ted aboard when he was around 6 months to Spain and we didn't find the journey overly stressful. Of course we have holidayed in the UK plenty of times, but often the thought of dealing with two grumpy toddler on a plane sends shivers down my spine.

The most obvious Mini-moon destination would be Paris, a romantic couple of days in the city exploring the food, shops, sights and sounds before heading on to Disney Land Paris. We have never been to a Disney park and whilst we plan on visiting Disney World in Florida in six year's time, the idea of heading to the Disney in Paris excites both my inner child and me as a grown-up.

We visit Center Parcs every year for a five day break and we have not yet considered venturing into Europe to visit one of their parks in either France, Germany, Belgium or Netherlands. I can imagine myself enjoying my time in one the parks in the nicer weather, relaxing by the pool with a nice cold beer.

Another idea was to look for a child friendly beach resorts where we could relax and keep the boys entertained morning, noon and night. I found Tots to Travel that offer baby and toddler friendly getaways. I found Martinhal Beach Resort, in Portugal through the site and thought to myself it was a good example of a location and accommodation i would be happy to mini-moon at. I think it is always nice to see resorts offer such a variety of activities and facilities for children without taking the appeal and fun away from the adults.

Whilst i doubt we will make any decision before Christmas now i am always looking for your thoughts and opinions so feel free to drop me a line should have any recommendations on place to visit with the kids.
