Banyan Bar/Kitchen Review & Renovation Details

This week the family got the chance to visit the recently refurbished Banyan Bar and Kitchen in Harrogate.

Arc have just finished their £400,000 renovation to bring the kitchen, bar and restaurant up to date with their competitors.

For those of you not familiar with the bar, Banyan is located on John Street, which is just a stones throw away from the town centre. Which makes it perfect for those looking for something to eat after a hard days shopping.

As you can see the bar looks modern, open and stylish, making is seem very warm and relaxing indeed.

One of the key selling points of the bar is that all the food is freshly cooked to order and only uses the best locally sourced ingredients available to deliver dishes that provide a wow, just like their surroundings.

Upon arrival we were seated, served and Ted was provided with crayons instantly.

We stopped for brunch after a spot of shopping with the two boys. My partner and i both opted for the traditional cooked breakfast. I got say that the menu looked great!

Now that the restaurant is more open it made it easier for to navigate our double pram through the doors and the tables.

The changing facilities are located in the disabled toilets and has amble run to change the biggest of babies and even has enough room for your pushchair.

As you can see from the pictures below you get a good heart portion for you bucks. The quality of the produce really shines through on the plate and i can honestly say that this is one of the best breakfasts i have had in a long time.

The staff were warm and friendly as expected, the seating arrangements were more than adequate and the high-chairs were clean and in good condition.

The bar began to fill-up towards mid-day and it really did have a buzz about it. People were excited to see the change and laughter often filled the air. It was nice to be in a restaurant where everyone was happy, even the staff had a skip in their step.

I would recommend Banyan Bar and Grill to any parent looking for a welcome break. The have the right facilities, in the the right place and have some great offers for those eating on a budget.

CEO of Arc Inspirations, Martin Wolstencroft, had recently commented on the renovation; “I am extremely proud of the Banyan Bar & Kitchen brand and am looking forward to revealing the refurbished bar in Harrogate. “We will be investing £400,000 to bring the site up to date with current UK market trends, with the development based on our learnings from the launch of Banyan Bar & Kitchen in Manchester.

“Banyan Bar & Kitchen in Harrogate originally opened in 2006, so in its tenth anniversary year we felt it was the right time to rejuvenate and refresh the bar loved by many in the town.

“There’ll be a whole host of events to celebrate the relaunch in true Banyan style, in addition to the relaunch on 29 January, including live acoustic music Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and the launch of our beautiful gin range and on trend dishes such as quinoa superfood salad and RAWnola to show the people of Harrogate nobody does it better than Arc Inspirations.”
